Critical Notes on the uncertain definitely not so clear foreseeable future of Ukraine, war-torn nation desperately on the way to an actual war-free, safe and democratic, non-corrupt respectable state, worthy of being part of Europe, sharing the same moral compass.
Outdated but actual true Map of Ukraine before the invasion of Russian army on command of president Putin. The layout has chanced dramatically. Peace is gone for a long time. How long will this hopeless cruel war continue, years and years?
What Ukraine needs is creativity to realize a fundamental political facelift to become what it deep down wants to become: a genuinely fully independent, territorially integral, free democratic, reformed and economically competitive European state. Integrated in the western world with their principle values and beliefs and own unique culture. Who would want to deny this future for Ukraine? Or is Ukraine already totally lost, wasted, a gimping nation, or does it lighted by hope have a real future? I think It certainty has one, maybe at the end not perfect. However it will take a long time, that’s sufficiently clear. When exact it will happen, that’s the question. Whatever time it will take, it can not be too soon enough?
AFTER-EFFECTS
Now, there’s another problem: after the war Russia will still be the big neighbour, in whatever political constellation. Is a peaceful coexistence possible in post wartime? I don’t think so. It’s basic undisputed psychology: in normal circumstances we tend to be attracted to those who evaluate us positively and we dislike those who appraise us negatively. Once the blood of the war has stopped and all the suffering, the circumstantial gloom, is resolved, there wil be the dramatic after-effects of the shock and rage and hate and feelings of revenge during many generations to come. They were not so bad after all, never any Ukrainian person will say this about the Russians soldiers. To all the generals in the Putin regime, commanders and other slaves of the Russian army they have only one absolute comment: Fuck you Russians a million times!
THE PATH FORWARDS
Is there The Path Forward for Ukraine to a peaceful substantial future? If it will ever happen it will – I repeat – take awhile. How long we don’t know, hard to say. About 20 years? Most likely this war today transforms into a long-lasting frozen conflict. But real happy peace at the end? No way. The Russian troops need to crawl back into their dark caves they came from. That would be right, to safe their own lives and give victory to Ukraine. But the Russian army is, well-known fact, never tired of killing. We will witness periods of so-called cold peace and periods of fiercely fighting each other, the two neighbours. And the western world is watching this through the eyelashes, hoping the history will be triumphantly in favour of the common sense, which it never does.
Come on. What to do to stop the killing? There’ s just no answer, Europe says. Delivering weapons for the Ukrainian self-defence, as America does, that is not going to help. Sanctions, okay, but Putin shits on it. He is going all the way. The worst horrific scenario seems more and more an alternative cruel reality: a war without an end. No U-turn possible. For many Ukrainian families who have lost their beloved ones and their houses this war will indeed never end, because of the psychological impact of traumatised experiences. The nation’ s grief endures as long birds fly. Their freedom is the desire that sparks open in every soul who wants peace on earth.
